Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the Lord’s wrath, until he pleads my case and upholds my cause. He will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness.

Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

Woe to me because of my injury! My wound is incurable! Yet I said to myself, “This is my sickness, and I must endure it.”

How much less, then, will he listen when you say that you do not see him, that your case is before him and you must wait for him,

This is what your Sovereign Lord says, your God, who defends his people: “See, I have taken out of your hand the cup that made you stagger; from that cup, the goblet of my wrath, you will never drink again.

Although our sins testify against us, do something, Lord, for the sake of your name. For we have often rebelled; we have sinned against you.
