“About nine in the morning he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing.

Should we pay or shouldn’t we?” But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.”

“Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” “Caesar’s,” they replied.

“The workers who were hired about five in the afternoon came and each received a denarius.
