A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.

Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.

“Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water.

While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus.

People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them.

He pleaded earnestly with him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.”

The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.

“What are you arguing with them about?” he asked.

Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”

When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”

Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed.

A man in the crowd called out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child.

When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death.
