Swing the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, trample the grapes, for the winepress is full and the vats overflow— so great is their wickedness!”

Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord.

In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.”

Then the Lord said, “The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous

It will be as when reapers harvest the standing grain, gathering the grain in their arms— as when someone gleans heads of grain in the Valley of Rephaim.

“I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing.

This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Daughter Babylon is like a threshing floor at the time it is trampled; the time to harvest her will soon come.”

“The Lord has rejected all the warriors in my midst; he has summoned an army against me to crush my young men. In his winepress the Lord has trampled Virgin Daughter Judah.

“Also for you, Judah, a harvest is appointed. “Whenever I would restore the fortunes of my people,

and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”

Count off seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain.

I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.

Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
