You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.

“Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge?

He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.

My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.
