“Summon archers against Babylon, all those who draw the bow. Encamp all around her; let no one escape. Repay her for her deeds; do to her as she has done. For she has defied the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

Even if Babylon ascends to the heavens and fortifies her lofty stronghold, I will send destroyers against her,” declares the Lord.

Though they dig down to the depths below, from there my hand will take them. Though they climb up to the heavens above, from there I will bring them down.

“Woe to him who builds his house by unjust gain, setting his nest on high to escape the clutches of ruin!

but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his hill country into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals.”
