This is what the Lord says: “Go down to the palace of the king of Judah and proclaim this message there:

I will send destroyers against you, each man with his weapons, and they will cut up your fine cedar beams and throw them into the fire.

great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve.

They will chop down her forest,” declares the Lord, “dense though it be. They are more numerous than locusts, they cannot be counted.

and say to her: ‘This is what the Lord says: I am against you. I will draw my sword from its sheath and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked.

The earth will become desolate because of its inhabitants, as the result of their deeds.

Open your doors, Lebanon, so that fire may devour your cedars!
