“Therefore I bring charges against you again,” declares the Lord. “And I will bring charges against your children’s children.

“Hear, you mountains, the Lord’s accusation; listen, you everlasting foundations of the earth. For the Lord has a case against his people; he is lodging a charge against Israel.

“Why do you bring charges against me? You have all rebelled against me,” declares the Lord.

The Lord takes his place in court; he rises to judge the people.

I myself will set my face against him and his family and will cut them off from their people together with all who follow him in prostituting themselves to Molek.

He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people:

Hear the word of the Lord, you Israelites, because the Lord has a charge to bring against you who live in the land: “There is no faithfulness, no love, no acknowledgment of God in the land.

In the womb he grasped his brother’s heel; as a man he struggled with God.
