When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house, “Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.”

The child grew and was weaned, and on the day Isaac was weaned Abraham held a great feast.

Now Joseph gave these instructions to the steward of his house: “Fill the men’s sacks with as much food as they can carry, and put each man’s silver in the mouth of his sack.

They had not gone far from the city when Joseph said to his steward, “Go after those men at once, and when you catch up with them, say to them, ‘Why have you repaid good with evil?

She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table.

Why should I take my bread and water, and the meat I have slaughtered for my shearers, and give it to men coming from who knows where?”
