Genesis 17:12

New International Version

For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner—those who are not your offspring.

On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in his household or bought with his money, every male in his household, and circumcised them, as God told him.

When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God commanded him.

Any slave you have bought may eat it after you have circumcised him,

Do the same with your cattle and your sheep. Let them stay with their mothers for seven days, but give them to me on the eighth day.

On the eighth day the boy is to be circumcised.

A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.
