But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.

If a ruler’s anger rises against you, do not leave your post; calmness can lay great offenses to rest.

Now let my lord the king listen to his servant’s words. If the Lord has incited you against me, then may he accept an offering. If, however, people have done it, may they be cursed before the Lord! God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there.

When he looked and saw the traveler in the city square, the old man asked, “Where are you going? Where did you come from?”

When he went in and stood before his master, Elisha asked him, “Where have you been, Gehazi?” “Your servant didn’t go anywhere,” Gehazi answered.
