the son of Shallum, the son of Zadok, the son of Ahitub,

Zadok son of Ahitub and Ahimelek son of Abiathar were priests; Seraiah was secretary;

The king put Benaiah son of Jehoiada over the army in Joab’s position and replaced Abiathar with Zadok the priest.
