Acts 20:1

When the uproar had ended, Paul sent for the disciples and, after encouraging them, said goodbye and set out for Macedonia.

Now Israel’s eyes were failing because of old age, and he could hardly see. So Joseph brought his sons close to him, and his father kissed them and embraced them.

and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

From there we traveled to Philippi, a Roman colony and the leading city of that district of Macedonia. And we stayed there several days.

During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

After all this had happened, Paul decided to go to Jerusalem, passing through Macedonia and Achaia. “After I have been there,” he said, “I must visit Rome also.”

Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!”

He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece,

where he stayed three months. Because some Jews had plotted against him just as he was about to sail for Syria, he decided to go back through Macedonia.

They all wept as they embraced him and kissed him.

by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.

After I go through Macedonia, I will come to you—for I will be going through Macedonia.

For when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn—conflicts on the outside, fears within.

Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.

As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer
