Acts 18:8

Crispus, the synagogue leader, and his entire household believed in the Lord; and many of the Corinthians who heard Paul believed and were baptized.

But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Then the crowd there turned on Sosthenes the synagogue leader and beat him in front of the proconsul; and Gallio showed no concern whatever.

The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.

Then one of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.”

And every male in Abraham’s household, including those born in his household or bought from a foreigner, was circumcised with him.

After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.

While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples

To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours:

I call God as my witness—and I stake my life on it—that it was in order to spare you that I did not return to Corinth.

Erastus stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus.
