But you are to hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have until now.

and even Judah did not keep the commands of the Lord their God. They followed the practices Israel had introduced.

“Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
