2 Chronicles 30:9

If you return to the Lord, then your fellow Israelites and your children will be shown compassion by their captors and will return to this land, for the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.”

But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.

He caused all who held them captive to show them mercy.

He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate.

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

Like a wind from the east, I will scatter them before their enemies; I will show them my back and not my face in the day of their disaster.”

He prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.

Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.

When all these blessings and curses I have set before you come on you and you take them to heart wherever the Lord your God disperses you among the nations,

For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.
