1 Kings 13:4

New International Version

When King Jeroboam heard what the man of God cried out against the altar at Bethel, he stretched out his hand from the altar and said, “Seize him!” But the hand he stretched out toward the man shriveled up, so that he could not pull it back.

If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die.

When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.”

He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did so, and his hand was completely restored.

That same day the man of God gave a sign: “This is the sign the Lord has declared: The altar will be split apart and the ashes on it will be poured out.”

Also, the altar was split apart and its ashes poured out according to the sign given by the man of God by the word of the Lord.

One he set up in Bethel, and the other in Dan.

and say, ‘This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.’ ”
