So Ruth stayed close to the women who worked for Boaz as she picked up grain. She worked until the time when all the barley and wheat had been harvested. And she lived with her mother-in-law.

The barley was ripe. The flax was in bloom. So they were both destroyed.

A wise son pays attention to what his father teaches him. But anyone who makes fun of others doesn’t listen to warnings.

Walk with wise people and become wise. A companion of foolish people suffers harm.

Peter was below in the courtyard. One of the high priest’s female servants came by.

Don’t let anyone fool you. “Bad companions make a good person bad.”

So Naomi returned from Moab. Ruth, her daughter-in-law from Moab, came with her. They arrived in Bethlehem just when people were beginning to harvest the barley.

Naomi replied to her daughter-in-law Ruth. She said, “That will be good for you, my daughter. Go with the women who work for him. You might be harmed if you go to someone else’s field.”

One day Ruth’s mother-in-law Naomi spoke to her. She said, “My daughter, I must find a home for you. It should be a place where you will be provided for.
