God, I wish you would kill the people who are evil! I wish those murderers would get away from me!

You are the King and the Lord. You have always been my hope. I have trusted in you ever since I was young.

May the king stand up for those who are hurting. May he save the children of those who are in need. May he crush those who treat others badly.

The God who pays back murderers remembers. He doesn’t forget the cries of those who are hurting.

There really is hope for you in days to come. So your hope will not be cut off.

I want you to know that wisdom is like honey for you. If you find it, there is hope for you tomorrow. So your hope will not be cut off.

He has filled with good things those who are hungry. But he has sent away empty those who are rich.

Jesus looked at his disciples. He said to them, “Blessed are you who are needy. God’s kingdom belongs to you.

My dear brothers and sisters, listen to me. Hasn’t God chosen those who are poor in the world’s eyes to be rich in faith? Hasn’t he chosen them to receive the kingdom? Hasn’t he promised it to those who love him?
