One evening he went out to the field. He wanted to spend some time thinking. When he looked up, he saw camels approaching.

Remember the wonderful things he has done. Remember his miracles and how he judged our enemies.

The Lord causes his wonders to be remembered. He is kind and tender.

I remember what happened long ago. I spend time thinking about all your acts. I consider what your hands have done.

They don’t care about the Lord’s mighty acts. They don’t care about what his hands have done. So he will tear them down. He will never build them up again.

Then I thought, “Here is what gives me hope. For many years the Most High God showed how powerful he is.

They forgot what he had done. They didn’t remember the wonders he had shown them.

“Lord, who among the gods is like you? Who is like you? You are majestic and holy. Your glory fills me with wonder. You do amazing things.

They have harps and lyres at their banquets. They have tambourines, flutes and wine. But they don’t have any concern for the mighty acts of the Lord. They don’t have any respect for what his power has done.
