Don’t turn your face away from me when I’m in trouble. Pay attention to me. When I call out for help, answer me quickly.

Lord, how long must I wait? Will you forget me forever? How long will you turn your face away from me?

Why do you turn your face away from us? Why do you forget our pain and troubles?

I made them with my lips. My mouth spoke them when I was in trouble.

God, hurry and save me. Lord, come quickly and help me.

The Lord loves us very much. So we haven’t been completely destroyed. His loving concern never fails.

Then he said to them, “My soul is very sad. I feel close to death. Stay here. Keep watch with me.”
