Praise the Lord. Praise God in his holy temple. Praise him in his mighty heavens.

Here is what should be written. “The Lord looked down from his temple in heaven. From heaven he viewed the earth.

Lift up your hands in the temple and praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord. Sing a new song to the Lord. Sing praise to him in the assembly of his faithful people.

The heavens tell about the glory of God. The skies show that his hands created them.

Day after day they speak about it. Night after night they make it known.

The voice of the Lord twists the oak trees. It strips the forests bare. And in his temple everyone cries out, “Glory!”

I looked up and saw something that appeared to be a throne made out of lapis lazuli. It was above the huge space that was spread out over the heads of the cherubim.

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the sky. Those who lead many others to do what is right will be like the stars for ever and ever.
