Blessed are those who live without blame. They live in keeping with the law of the Lord.

I have lived the way the Lord wanted me to. I’m not guilty of turning away from my God.

“Lord, please remember how faithful I’ve been to you. I’ve lived the way you wanted me to. I’ve served you with all my heart. I’ve done what is good in your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

There was a man who lived in the land of Uz. His name was Job. He was honest. He did what was right. He had respect for God and avoided evil.

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you thought about my servant Job? There isn’t anyone on earth like him. He is honest. He does what is right. He has respect for God and avoids evil.”

I will be careful to lead a life that is without blame. When will you come and help me? In my own home I will lead a life that is without blame.

I will look with favor on the faithful people in the land. They will live with me. Those whose lives are without blame will serve me.

Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who have respect for the Lord. They find great delight when they obey God’s commands.

Blessed are all those who have respect for the Lord. They live as he wants them to live.

The Lord hates those whose hearts are twisted. But he is pleased with those who live without blame.

Doing right guards those who are honest. But evil destroys those who are sinful.

Where there is no message from God, people don’t control themselves. But blessed is the one who obeys wisdom’s instruction.

Then they will follow my rules. They will be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people. And I will be their God.

If someone is wise, they will realize that what I’ve said is true. If they have understanding, they will know what it means. The ways of the Lord are right. People who are right with God live the way he wants them to. But those who refuse to obey him trip and fall.

Both of them did what was right in the sight of God. They obeyed all the Lord’s commands and rules faithfully.

He replied, “Instead, blessed are those who hear God’s word and obey it.”

Jesus saw Nathanael approaching. Here is what Jesus said about him. “He is a true Israelite. Nothing about him is false.”

Now you know these things. So you will be blessed if you do them.

So I always try not to do anything wrong in the eyes of God or in the eyes of people.

Here is what we take pride in. Our sense of what is right and wrong tells us how we have acted. We have lived with honor and godly honesty. We have depended on God’s grace and not on the world’s wisdom. We lived that way most of all when we were dealing with you.

But suppose someone takes a good look at the perfect law that gives freedom. And they keep looking at it. Suppose they don’t forget what they’ve heard, but they do what the law says. Then this person will be blessed in what they do.

“Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will have the right to come to the tree of life. They will be allowed to go through the gates into the city.
