I hope I will always stand firm in following your orders.

I have thought about the way I live. And I have decided to follow your covenant laws.

The Lord makes secure the footsteps of the person who delights in him,

I was sliding down into the pit of death, and he pulled me out. He brought me up out of the mud and dirt. He set my feet on a rock. He gave me a firm place to stand on.

A person who has no sense enjoys doing foolish things. But a person who has understanding walks straight ahead.

Sinful people try to look as if they were bold. But honest people think about how they live.

My son, listen and be wise. Set your heart on the right path.

Let your eyes look straight ahead. Keep looking right in front of you.

The Lord watches your ways. He studies all your paths.

She doesn’t give any thought to her way of life. Her paths have no direction, but she doesn’t realize it.

They think about all the evil things they have done. And they turn away from them. So you can be sure they will live. They will not die.

The Lord who rules over all says, “Think carefully about how you are living.

He continues, “Think carefully about how you are living.

So be very careful how you live. Do not live like people who aren’t wise. Live like people who are wise.

So don’t be foolish. Instead, understand what the Lord wants.

May the Lord give you strength in your hearts. Then you will be holy and without blame in the sight of our God and Father. May that be true when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

But the Lord is faithful. He will strengthen you. He will guard you from the evil one.

“Make level paths for your feet to walk on.” (Proverbs 4:26) Then those who have trouble walking won’t be disabled. Instead, they will be healed.

God always gives you all the grace you need. So you will only have to suffer for a little while. Then God himself will build you up again. He will make you strong and steady. And he has chosen you to share in his eternal glory because you belong to Christ.
