May your father and mother be glad. May the woman who gave birth to you be joyful.

These are the proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes his father glad. But a foolish son brings sorrow to his mother.

A foolish child makes his father sad and his mother sorry.

My son, if your heart is wise, my heart will be very glad.

My son, give me your heart. May you be happy living the way you see me live.

My son, be wise and bring joy to my heart. Then I can answer anyone who makes fun of me.

Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had been very kind to her. They shared her joy.
