Wise people store up the best food and olive oil. But foolish people eat up everything they have.

They will spit out the rich food they swallowed. God will make their stomachs throw it up.

What they worked for they must give back before they can eat it. They won’t enjoy what they have earned.

Their family will have wealth and riches. They will always be blessed for doing what is right.

You prepare a feast for me right in front of my enemies. You pour oil on my head. My cup runs over.

The blessing of the Lord brings wealth. And it comes without painful work.

The wealth of wise people is their crown. But the foolish ways of foolish people lead to what is foolish.

The houses of those who do what is right hold great wealth. But those who do what is wrong earn only ruin.

Being humble comes from having respect for the Lord. This will bring you wealth and honor and life.

I leave riches to those who love me. I give them more than they have room for.

People laugh at a dinner party. And wine makes life happy. People think money can buy everything.

Sometimes God gives a person wealth and possessions. God makes it possible for that person to enjoy them. God helps them accept the life he has given them. God helps them to be happy in their work. All these things are gifts from God.

Wisdom is a good thing. It’s like getting a share of the family wealth. It benefits those who live on this earth.

But ten of the men had spoken to Ishmael. They had said, “Don’t kill us! We have some wheat and barley. We also have olive oil and honey. We’ve hidden all of it in a field.” So he didn’t kill them along with the others.

The foolish ones said to the wise ones, ‘Give us some of your oil. Our lamps are going out.’

He spent everything he had. Then the whole country ran low on food. So the son didn’t have what he needed.

Jesus told his disciples another story. He said, “There was a rich man who had a manager. Some said that the manager was wasting what the rich man owned.

A good man says good things. These come from the good that is stored up in his heart. An evil man says evil things. These come from the evil that is stored up in his heart. A person’s mouth says everything that is in their heart.
