Who can bring what is pure from something that isn’t pure? No one!

How can human beings be right with God? How can mere people really be pure?

I know I’ve been a sinner ever since I was born. I’ve been a sinner ever since my mother became pregnant with me.

It is true that there isn’t anyone on earth who does only what is right and never sins.

What should we say then? Do we Jews have any advantage? Not at all! We have already claimed that Jews and Gentiles are sinners. Everyone is under the power of sin.

I don’t feel I have done anything wrong. But that doesn’t mean I’m not guilty. The Lord judges me.

All of us get tripped up in many ways. Suppose someone is never wrong in what they say. Then they are perfect. They are able to keep their whole body under control.
