Godly people are careful about the friends they choose. But the way of sinners leads them down the wrong path.

Whoever has respect for the Lord lives a good life. But those who hate him walk down an evil path.

It is better to have respect for the Lord and have little than to be rich and have trouble.

It is better to have a little and do right than to have a lot and be unfair.

Everyone longs for love that never fails. It is better to be poor than to be a liar.

Those who do what is right live without blame. Blessed are their children after them.

It is better to be poor and live without blame than to be rich and follow a crooked path.

Don’t speak with twisted words. Keep evil talk away from your lips.

Your hands and fingers are stained with blood. You are guilty of committing murder. Your mouth has told lies. Your tongue says evil things.

What good is it if someone gains the whole world but loses their soul? Or what can anyone trade for their soul?

Now think it over. See what you can do. Horrible trouble will soon come to our master and his whole family. He’s such an evil man that no one can even talk to him.”

Please don’t pay any attention to that evil man Nabal. His name means Foolish Person. And that’s exactly what he is. He’s always doing foolish things. I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to see the men you sent.
