Those who make fun of others look for wisdom and don’t find it. But knowledge comes easily to those who understand what is right.

A heart that understands what is right looks for knowledge. But the mouths of foolish people feed on what is foolish.

A foolish child makes his father sad and his mother sorry.

When you take even a quick look at riches, they are gone. They grow wings and fly away into the sky like an eagle.

The eyes of a wise person see things clearly. A person who is foolish lives in darkness. But I finally realized that death catches up with both of them.

Being satisfied with what you have is better than always wanting more. That doesn’t have any meaning either. It’s like chasing the wind.

Who is like a wise person? Who knows how to explain things? A person’s wisdom makes their face bright. It softens the look on their face.

Here is how someone can find out whether my teaching comes from God or from me. That person must choose to do what God wants them to do.

Here is what people who belong to this world do. They try to satisfy what their sinful desires want to do. They long for what their sinful eyes look at. They take pride in what they have and what they do. All of this comes from the world. None of it comes from the Father.
