So he said he would destroy them. But Moses, his chosen one, stood up for them. He kept God’s anger from destroying them.

Lord our God, you answered them. You showed Israel that you are a God who forgives. But when they did wrong, you punished them.

Then the Lord took pity on his people. He didn’t destroy them as he had said he would.

Moses said to Pharaoh, “You can have the honor of setting the time for me to pray. I will pray for you, your officials and your people. I’ll pray that the frogs will leave you and your homes. The only frogs left will be the ones in the Nile River.”

The Lord says, “Some of my people will live through everything their enemies do to them. They will find help in the desert. I will come to give peace and rest to Israel.”

So confess your sins to one another. Pray for one another so that you might be healed. The prayer of a godly person is powerful. Things happen because of it.
