The Lord sent out a wind. It drove quail in from the Red Sea. It scattered them all around the camp. They were about three feet above the ground. They could be seen in every direction as far as a person could walk in a day.

They asked for meat, and he brought them quail. He fed them well with manna, the bread of heaven.

So he gave them what they asked for. But he also sent a sickness that killed many of them.

He makes clouds rise from one end of the earth to the other. He sends lightning with the rain. He brings the wind out of his storerooms.

So Moses reached out his walking stick over Egypt. Then the Lord made an east wind blow across the land. It blew all that day and all that night. By morning the wind had brought the locusts.

The Lord changed the wind to a very strong west wind. It picked up the locusts. It blew them into the Red Sea. Not even one locust was left anywhere in Egypt.

But you blew with your breath. The Red Sea covered your enemies. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.

That evening quail came and covered the camp. In the morning the ground around the camp was covered with dew.

Then Moses and the elders of Israel returned to the camp.
