Matthew 28:10

Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. There they will see me.”

Right away Jesus called out to them, “Be brave! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“The King will reply, ‘What I’m about to tell you is true. Anything you did for one of the least important of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

“He will reply, ‘What I’m about to tell you is true. Anything you didn’t do for one of the least important of these, you didn’t do for me.’

But after I rise from the dead, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”

Then the 11 disciples went to Galilee. They went to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.

The angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

Go quickly! Tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead. He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings!” he said. They came to him, took hold of his feet and worshiped him.

Go! Tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. It will be just as he told you.’ ”

Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me. I have not yet ascended to the Father. Instead, go to those who believe in me. Tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”

But he said to them, “It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

God planned that those he had chosen would become like his Son. In that way, Christ will be the first and most honored among many brothers and sisters.

Then they got rid of the false gods that were among them. They served the Lord. And he couldn’t stand to see Israel suffer anymore.
