“My Father has given all things to me. The Father is the only one who knows the Son. And the only ones who know the Father are the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to make him known.

Then Jesus came to them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

“My Father has given all things to me. The Father is the only one who knows who the Son is. And the only ones who know the Father are the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to make the Father known.”

No one has ever seen God. But the One and Only is God and is at the Father’s side. The one at the Father’s side has shown us what God is like.

They know me just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. And I give my life for the sheep.

Jesus knew that the Father had put everything under his power. He also knew he had come from God and was returning to God.

“I have shown you to the disciples you gave me out of the world. They were yours. You gave them to me. And they have obeyed your word.

The Father loves the Son and has put everything into his hands.

No one has seen the Father except the one who has come from God. Only he has seen the Father.

But I know him. I am from him, and he sent me.”

He has gone into heaven. He is at God’s right hand. Angels, authorities and powers are under his control.

The person who says no to the Son doesn’t belong to the Father. But anyone who says yes to the Son belongs to the Father also.

Suppose someone thinks they know more than we do. So they don’t follow Christ’s teaching. Then that person doesn’t belong to God. But whoever follows Christ’s teaching belongs to the Father and the Son.
