If that home welcomes you, give it your blessing of peace. If it does not, don’t bless it.
But when they were sick, I put on the clothing of sadness. I made myself humble by going without food. My prayers for them weren’t always answered.
As you enter the home, greet those who live there.
Some people may not welcome you or listen to your words. If they don’t, leave that home or town, and shake the dust off your feet.
If someone there works to bring peace, your blessing of peace will rest on them. If not, it will return to you.
To those who are dying, we are the smell of death. To those who are being saved, we are the perfume of life. Who is able to do this work?
