So Pilate asked him again, “Aren’t you going to answer? See how many things they charge you with.”

Then the high priest stood up. He asked Jesus, “Aren’t you going to answer? What are these charges that these men are bringing against you?”

Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the charges they are bringing against you?”

The chief priests brought many charges against him.

But Jesus still did not reply. Pilate was amazed.

“Do you refuse to speak to me?” Pilate said. “Don’t you understand? I have the power to set you free or to nail you to a cross.”
