Mark 13:3

Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, across from the temple. Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him a question in private.

The disciples came to him. They asked, “Why do you use stories when you speak to the people?”

Then Jesus left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him. They said, “Explain to us the story of the weeds in the field.”

After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John the brother of James with him. He led them up a high mountain. They were all alone.

As they all approached Jerusalem, they came to Bethphage. It was on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent out two disciples.

Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives. There the disciples came to him in private. “Tell us,” they said. “When will this happen? And what will be the sign of your coming? What will be the sign of the end?”

James and John came to Jesus. They were the sons of Zebedee. “Teacher,” they said, “we would like to ask you for a favor.”

“Tell us,” they said. “When will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are all about to come true?”

He took Peter, James and John along with him. He began to be very upset and troubled.

He did not say anything to them without using a story. But when he was alone with his disciples, he explained everything.

He let only Peter, James, and John, the brother of James, follow him.

After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him. He led them up a high mountain. They were all alone. There in front of them his appearance was changed.
