Then Jesus asked, “What is God’s kingdom like? What can I compare it to?
City of Jerusalem, what can I say about you? What can I compare you to? People of Zion, what are you like? I want to comfort you. Your wound is as deep as the ocean. Who can heal you?
Jesus told the crowd another story. “Here is what the kingdom of heaven is like,” he said. “A man planted good seed in his field.
Jesus also said, “Here is what God’s kingdom is like. A farmer scatters seed on the ground.
Again he asked, “What can I compare God’s kingdom to?
People will not say, ‘Here it is.’ Or, ‘There it is.’ That’s because God’s kingdom is among you.”
Jesus went on to say, “What can I compare today’s people to? What are they like?
