The greatest sacrifice you want is a broken spirit. God, you will gladly accept a heart that is broken because of sadness over sin.

I know that you wanted faithfulness even when I was in my mother’s body. You taught me wisdom in that secret place.

Do not eat the meat when it is raw. Don’t boil it in water. Instead, cook it over a fire. Cook the head, legs and inside parts.

Then take all the fat on the inside parts. Take the long part of the liver. Get both kidneys with the fat on them. And burn all of it on the altar.

The priest who offers the blood and fat from the friendship offering must be given the right thigh. It is his share.
