Beth Markaboth, Hazar Susim, Beth Biri and Shaaraim. These were their towns until David became king.
Ziklag, Madmannah, Sansannah,
Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
Beth Lebaoth and Sharuhen. The total number of towns was 13. Some of them had villages near them.
So on that day Achish gave David the town of Ziklag. It has belonged to the kings of Judah ever since that time.
On the third day David and his men arrived in Ziklag. The Amalekites had attacked the people of the Negev Desert. They had also attacked Ziklag and burned it.
