One Sabbath day Jesus was walking with his disciples through the grainfields. The disciples began to break off some heads of grain.

One Sabbath day, Jesus went to eat in the house of a well-known Pharisee. While he was there, he was being carefully watched.

Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath day. So the Jewish leaders began to oppose him.

The man was healed right away. He picked up his mat and walked. This happened on a Sabbath day.

They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind.

After he said this, he spit on the ground. He made some mud with the spit. Then he put the mud on the man’s eyes.
