No one has seen the Father except the one who has come from God. Only he has seen the Father.

They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a street made out of lapis lazuli. It was as bright blue as the sky itself.

“My Father has given all things to me. The Father is the only one who knows the Son. And the only ones who know the Father are the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to make him known.

No one has ever seen God. But the One and Only is God and is at the Father’s side. The one at the Father’s side has shown us what God is like.

If you really know me, you will know my Father also. From now on, you do know him. And you have seen him.”

I did works among them that no one else did. If I hadn’t, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen those works. And still they have hated both me and my Father.

The Father who sent me is himself a witness about me. You have never heard his voice. You have never seen what he really looks like.

But I know him. I am from him, and he sent me.”

Then they asked him, “Where is your father?” “You do not know me or my Father,” Jesus replied. “If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

You do not know him. But I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you. But I do know him. And I obey his word.

The Son is the exact likeness of God, who can’t be seen. The Son is first, and he is over all creation.

God is the only one who can’t die. He lives in light that no one can get close to. No one has seen him. No one can see him. Honor and power belong to him forever. Amen.

No one has ever seen God. But if we love one another, God lives in us. His love is made complete in us.
