John 6:39

The one who sent me doesn’t want me to lose anyone he has given me. He wants me to raise them up on the last day.

I will place shepherds over them who will take good care of them. My sheep will not be afraid or terrified anymore. And none of them will be missing,” announces the Lord.

What I’m about to tell you is true. On judgment day it will be easier for Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

It is the same with your Father in heaven. He does not want any of these little ones to die.

“Little flock, do not be afraid. Your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

But there is a judge for anyone who does not accept me and my words. These words I have spoken will judge them on the last day.

While I was with them, I guarded them. I kept them safe through the name you gave me. None of them has been lost, except the one who was headed for ruin. It happened so that Scripture would come true.

You gave him authority over all people. He gives eternal life to all those you have given him.

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am. I want them to see my glory, the glory you have given me. You gave it to me because you loved me before the world was created.

“I have shown you to the disciples you gave me out of the world. They were yours. You gave them to me. And they have obeyed your word.

I pray for them. I am not praying for the world. I am praying for those you have given me, because they are yours.

This happened so that the words Jesus had spoken would come true. He had said, “I have not lost anyone God has given me.” (John 6:39)

“Do not be amazed at this. A time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice.

Everyone the Father gives me will come to me. I will never send away anyone who comes to me.

My Father wants all who look to the Son and believe in him to have eternal life. I will raise them up on the last day.”

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me brings them. Then I will raise them up on the last day.

Anyone who eats my body and drinks my blood has eternal life. I will raise them up on the last day.

The Spirit of the God who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you. So the God who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your bodies. He will do this because of his Spirit who lives in you.

By his power God raised the Lord from the dead. He will also raise us up.

But God’s solid foundation stands firm. Here is the message written on it. “The Lord knows who his own people are.” (Numbers 16:5) Also, “All who say they believe in the Lord must turn away from evil.”

The prayer offered by those who have faith will make the sick person well. The Lord will heal them. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

Through faith you are kept safe by God’s power. Your salvation is going to be completed. It is ready to be shown to you in the last days.

I, Jude, am writing this letter. I serve Jesus Christ. I am a brother of James. I am sending this letter to you who have been chosen by God. You are loved by God the Father. You are kept safe for Jesus Christ.

Someone may chase you and try to kill you. But the Lord your God will keep your life safe like a treasure hidden in a bag. And he’ll destroy your enemies. Their lives will be thrown away, just as a stone is thrown from a sling.
