They rowed about three or four miles. Then they saw Jesus coming toward the boat. He was walking on the water. They were frightened.

He’s the only one who can spread out the heavens. He alone can walk on the waves of the ocean.

The Lord on his throne rules over the flood. The Lord rules from his throne as King forever.

But Lord, you are more powerful than the roar of the ocean. You are stronger than the waves of the sea. Lord, you are powerful in heaven.

The sailors who man your oars take you out to the high seas. But the east wind will break you in pieces far out at sea.

But the men didn’t do what he said. Instead, they did their best to row back to land. But they couldn’t. The sea got even rougher than before.

That same day two of Jesus’ followers were going to a village called Emmaus. It was about seven miles from Jerusalem.

Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him into a fit. The boy fell to the ground. But Jesus ordered the evil spirit to leave the boy. Then Jesus healed him and gave him back to his father.

Bethany was less than two miles from Jerusalem.

I will not leave you like children who don’t have parents. I will come to you.

A strong wind was blowing, and the water became rough.

But he said to them, “It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

In the winepress outside the city, the grapes were stomped on. Blood flowed out of the winepress. It spread over the land for about 180 miles. It rose as high as the horses’ heads.

The city was laid out like a square. It was as long as it was wide. The angel measured the city with the rod. It was 1,400 miles long. It was as wide and high as it was long.
