“Go,” Jesus replied. “Your son will live.” The man believed what Jesus said, and so he left.
The jar of flour wasn’t used up. The jug always had oil in it. That’s what the Lord had said would happen. He had spoken that message through Elijah.
Then Jesus said to the Roman commander, “Go! It will be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.
Jesus saw them and said, “Go. Show yourselves to the priests.” While they were on the way, they were healed.
Then Jesus said, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believe, you will see God’s glory?”
The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”
While he was still on his way home, his slaves met him. They gave him the news that his boy was living.
Abraham did this, because he believed that God could even raise the dead. In a way, he did receive Isaac back from death.
