After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord made him successful again. He gave him twice as much as he had before.

He lifts up people who are lowly in spirit. He lifts up those who are sad. He keeps them safe.

“Find out what our parents taught. Discover what those who lived before them learned.

Listen to advice and accept correction. In the end you will be counted among those who are wise.

The path of those who do right is like the sun in the morning. It shines brighter and brighter until the full light of day.

It will be a day unlike any other. It will be a day known only to the Lord. It won’t be separated into day and night. After that day is over, there will be light again.

“Do not look down on the small amount of work done on the temple so far. The seven eyes of the Lord look over the whole earth. They will see Zerubbabel holding the most important stone. They will be filled with joy when they see it.”

Everyone who has this kind of knowledge will be given more knowledge. In fact, they will have very much. If anyone doesn’t have this kind of knowledge, even what little they have will be taken away from them.

He gave you manna to eat in the desert. Your people had never even known anything about manna before. The Lord took your pride away. He tested you. He did it so that things would go well with you in the end.

They may have escaped the sin of the world. They may have come to know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But what if they are once again caught up in sin? And what if it has become their master? Then they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.
