Jeremiah 52:12

Nebuzaradan served the king of Babylon. In fact, he was commander of the royal guard. He came to Jerusalem. It was in the 19th year that Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babylon. It was on the tenth day of the fifth month.

Jeremiah 52:15

Some of the poorest people still remained in the city along with the others. But the commander Nebuzaradan took them away as prisoners. He also took the rest of the skilled workers. That included the people who had joined the king of Babylon.

The Lord himself has scattered them. He doesn’t watch over them anymore. No one shows the priests any respect. No one honors the elders.
