Jeremiah 28:12

New International Reader's Version

A message from the Lord came to Jeremiah. It was after the false prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke off Jeremiah’s neck. The message said,

Isaiah was leaving the middle courtyard. Before he had left it, a message came to him from the Lord. He said,

But that night a message came to Nathan from God. He said,

A message from the Lord came to Jeremiah. It came in the 13th year that Josiah was king over Judah. Josiah was the son of Amon.

The Lord said, “Make a yoke out of ropes and wooden boards. Put it on your neck.

Then a message from the Lord came to me. The Lord said,

In that year I learned from the Scriptures that Jerusalem would remain destroyed for 70 years. That was what the Lord had told Jeremiah the prophet.
