Then the light of my blessing will shine on you like the rising sun. I will heal you quickly. I will march out ahead of you. And my glory will follow behind you and guard you. That’s because I always do what is right.

Even in the darkness light shines on honest people. It shines on those who are kind and tender and godly.

He will make the reward for your godly life shine like the dawn. He will make the proof of your honest life shine like the sun at noon.

God’s holiness leads the way in front of him. It prepares the way for his coming.

Good things come to those who do what is right. Joy comes to those whose hearts are honest.

The angel of God had been traveling in front of Israel’s army. Now he moved back and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved away from in front of them. Now it stood behind them.

Those who are kind benefit themselves. But mean people bring ruin on themselves.

Anyone who gives a lot will succeed. Anyone who renews others will be renewed.

The path of those who do right is like the sun in the morning. It shines brighter and brighter until the full light of day.

Open its gates so that those who do what is right can enter. They are the people who remain faithful to God.

I have seen what they have done. But I will heal them. I will guide them. I will give those who mourn in Israel the comfort they had before.

“People of Jerusalem, get up. Shine, because your light has come. The glory of the Lord will shine on you.

Darkness covers the earth. Thick darkness spreads over the nations. But I will rise and shine on you. My glory will appear over you.

The Lord says, “For the good of Zion I will not keep silent. For Jerusalem’s benefit I will not remain quiet. I will not keep silent until what I will do for them shines like the sunrise. I will not remain quiet until they are saved and shine like a blazing torch.

But I will make you healthy again. I will heal your wounds,” announces the Lord. “That’s because you have been thrown out. You are called Zion, the one no one cares about.”

“But now I will bring health and healing to Jerusalem. I will heal my people. I will let them enjoy great peace and security.

Then the Lord will answer, “My people always wander away from me. But I will put an end to that. My anger has turned away from them. Now I will love them freely.

But here is what will happen for you who have respect for me. The sun that brings life will rise. Its rays will bring healing to my people. You will go out and leap for joy like calves that have just been fed.

The hearts of these people have become stubborn. They can barely hear with their ears. They have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes. They might hear with their ears. They might understand with their hearts. They might turn to the Lord, and then he would heal them.’ (Isaiah 6:9,10)

He said, ‘Cornelius, God has heard your prayer. He has remembered your gifts to poor people.

“He accepts people from every nation. He accepts anyone who has respect for him and does what is right.

Cornelius was afraid. He stared at the angel. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to poor people are like an offering to God. So he has remembered you.
