Some land drinks the rain that falls on it. It produces a crop that is useful to those who farm the land. That land receives God’s blessing.

Then God said, “Let the land produce plants. Let them produce their own seeds. And let there be trees on the land that grow fruit with seeds in it. Let each kind of plant or tree have its own kind of seeds.” And that’s exactly what happened.

So Jacob went to him and kissed him. When Isaac smelled the clothes, he gave Jacob his blessing. He said, “It really is the smell of my son. It’s like the smell of a field that the Lord has blessed.

Those who go out weeping as they carry seeds to plant will come back singing with joy. They will bring the new crop back with them.

People like that will receive the Lord’s blessing. When God their Savior hands down his sentence, it will be in their favor.

I will pour out water on the thirsty land. I will make streams flow on the dry ground. I will pour out my Spirit on your children. I will pour out my blessing on their children after them.

I will make them and the places surrounding my holy mountain of Zion a blessing. I will send down rain at the right time. There will be showers of blessing.

Your hearts are as hard as a field that has not been plowed. If you change your ways, you will produce good crops. So plant the seeds of doing what is right. Then you will harvest the fruit of your faithful love. It is time to seek the Lord. When you do, he will come and shower his blessings on you.

I will send you a great blessing in the sixth year. The land will produce enough for three years.

Bring the entire tenth to the storerooms in my temple. Then there will be plenty of food. Test me this way,” says the Lord. “Then you will see that I will throw open the windows of heaven. I will pour out so many blessings that you will not have enough room to store them.

Everyone who asks will receive. The one who searches will find. The door will be opened to the one who knocks.

The farmer who works hard should be the first to receive a share of the crops.

Brothers and sisters, be patient until the Lord comes. See how the farmer waits for the land to produce its rich crop. See how patient the farmer is for the fall and spring rains.
