The third day was Pharaoh’s birthday. He had a feast prepared for all his officials. He brought the chief wine taster and the chief baker out of prison. He did it in front of his officials.

Isaac grew. The time came for his mother to stop breast-feeding him. On that day Abraham prepared a big celebration.

In three days Pharaoh will let you out of prison. He’ll give your job back to you. And you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand. That’s what you used to do when you were his wine taster.

In three days Pharaoh will cut your head off. Then he will stick a pole through your body and set the pole up. The birds will eat your flesh.”

Solomon woke up. He realized he had been dreaming. He returned to Jerusalem. He stood in front of the ark of the Lord’s covenant. He sacrificed burnt offerings and friendship offerings. Then he gave a feast for all his officials.

Awel-Marduk set Jehoiachin, the king of Judah, free from prison. It was in the 37th year after Jehoiachin had been taken away to Babylon. It was also the year Awel-Marduk became king of Babylon. It was on the 27th day of the 12th month.

In the third year of his rule King Xerxes gave a feast. It was for all his nobles and officials. The military leaders of Persia and Media were there. So were the princes and the nobles of the territories he ruled over.

After a while, Job opened his mouth to speak. He cursed the day he had been born.

He was in prison until what he said would happen came true. The word of the Lord proved that he was right.

On Herod’s birthday the daughter of Herodias danced for Herod and his guests. She pleased Herod very much.

“After a long time the master of those slaves returned. He wanted to collect all the money they had earned.

Finally the right time came. Herod gave a banquet on his birthday. He invited his high officials and military leaders. He also invited the most important men in Galilee.
